Barbara Veena Scialó, known as Veena, lives and works in London as a mother, artist and educator.
Veena was born in Austria and grew up in a small town surrounded by beautiful countryside. Inspired by nature, she expressed her creativity from early childhood. She later studied Tapestry and Textile Art at the Academy of Fine Art in Vienna.
Being a mother of three inspired Veena to share her skills, and in 2006 she completed a PGCE in Art and Design at Greenwich University.
She subsequently worked as a supply teacher in a wide variety of schools and today is a freelance artist and educator.
