Festive Focus – day 2
Things got a little more festive in the second day of our ‘Festive Focus’ Photography course.

We began the day by looking at some images of Christmases past and present, sourced from photographic archives.
Using print outs and photocopies of the photos we made yesterday, we altered the images to make new versions using collage techniques.
We then made some more photographs outside, using a range of household objects and props to make ourselves into sculptures and new characters.
This was a lot of fun!
We printed more photo’s and added to our collage work. The images became quite surreal, full of humour and creativity!
Tug of war with a Regent’s Street star!
Who is hiding amongst the brass band?
I love these Christmas stockings made from wrapped children!!! We spent some time talking through yesterday’s story images, discussing how simple props and expressions can tell a powerful story quite simply!
We took short breaks to do some simple photographic activities.
Photographing hands and feet.
We spent more time with the studio equipment to reinvent ourselves as sculptures once more as we had practiced earlier.
Finally we presented our story images as a storyboard poster.
The children worked so hard over the past couple of days and created some stunning imaginative work. We look forward to seeing them again. Please keep in touch!
