Festive light for dark days

Sabrina Smith-Noble worked on two lovely short projects inspired by colourful festive light.
Our year 1 children were fascinated by a video of a paint pouring artwork being made.

We used the technique to drip paint over curved jars; tilting them to create unpredictable patterns.
When they were dry we used them as lamps which projected colourful light.

Thinking about stained glass windows, we used coloured film to create colourful translucent designs on cards to give as gifts.

Sabrina is taking a break from Children’s Art School at Pelham for a while to begin the first stage of her teacher training.

We are so sorry to see her go…here is a reminder of some of the beautiful projects she has worked on with those lucky children!

She’s a very talented lady…

Sabrina will continue to inspire children during our holiday courses and hopefully we’ll see her back at Pelham when she is more free!

Louise Pasquil will be taking over her role from next week.

Louise is another extremely talented artist with masses of experience working with young children. Your children will be in great hands!

Here is Louise in action when she ran a printmaking project for Childrens Art School last year.
