In our last week before Christmas our young artists at Merton Park Art Club performed their improvised puppet show to their parents.

Last week we put the finishing touches to our puppets and made new characters to join the show!

We made pencil sketches and then enlarged them into ink drawings.

We used the same collage and ink wash techniques as in our photocopied characters to make a more individualised character for our performances

We then had everything we needed to perform our ‘happening’ We just needed to select our music. We chose from the pieces we listened to in our Responding to Music session.

We created a puppet theatre using tables and pieces of cloth, using our music paintings as a backdrop.

We rehearsed

And performed.
